The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Pharmaceutical Management and Production is an online part-time degree designed for professionals in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, as well as for qualified pharmaceutical technical assistants (PTAs) and pharmaceutical commercial assistants (PKAs). It combines pharmaceutical and natural science knowledge with business administration and management skills. The program aims to equip students with the competencies needed to navigate the increasing demands of digitalization, new production technologies, quality management, regulatory requirements, and the logistics of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Already acquired professional qualifications, such as a completed PTA or PKA training, can be individually recognized to allow for a flexible study path. The program can be pursued as initial training or alongside employment, and it's also possible to study concurrently with a PTA training. Study starts are available in April and October, with the possibility of starting at other times after individual assessment. While primarily online, the program includes mandatory lab days at the Bückeburg campus to ensure practical application.
The curriculum integrates business administration knowledge with pharmaceutical technology, natural sciences, and management. Students will cover topics such as drug development, regulatory affairs, quality management, marketing, and logistics. The program also includes a specialization choice and a focus on scientific work. Live online lectures and in-person lab days facilitate practical learning.
The program prepares graduates for various roles within the pharmaceutical industry, medical device sector, and pharmacies. Graduates will be qualified to take on demanding responsibilities in areas such as management, production, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and sales.
Admission is possible without a general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), for example, with a secondary school leaving certificate and vocational training. Previous professional qualifications, such as a completed PTA or PKA training, can be individually recognized.
Flexible payment plans are available. The study period can be extended free of charge under certain conditions. A 4-week free trial period is offered.
