Fine Art

This BA (Hons) Fine Art course at Oxford Brookes University encourages you to develop and expand your creative abilities. It offers a hands-on approach with a broad introduction to multiple media practices, supported by exploration of the theory behind them. You'll gain the freedom to explore your creativity while building professional skills and confidence for your chosen career. The program leverages relationships with contemporary galleries and arts organisations to help you build industry connections. You will be taught by practising artists, curators, researchers, and technical specialists in dedicated facilities with individual studio space available 24 hours a day during term time.

Curriculum

The Fine Art course focuses on discovering, testing, and experimenting with contemporary fine art to forge your own independent creative practice. It links traditional skills with alternative media and uses excellent facilities for producing distinctive artworks. Teaching adapts to your creativity with high tutor contact time, including 1:1 and group tutorials. The 'Real Art World' assessed portfolio helps build a record of real-world endeavours during the course.
