French Studies

Queen's University's Faculty of Arts and Science offers a range of courses in French Studies. Please note that as of January 2024, new admissions to fully online degree and certificate programs in French Studies are no longer being accepted by Arts and Science Online (ASO). A limited selection of French courses will be offered in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years. These courses are not designed for advanced or bilingual French speakers and cannot be used as credit towards any FREN Plan. For specific inquiries, please contact francais@queensu.ca.

Curriculum

The French Studies program offers a selection of courses designed to enhance communication and cultural understanding in French. While specific program structures may vary, courses include areas such as French communication and culture, textual analysis, writing and style, and French for specific professional contexts.
