The UPMC Horizon General Surgery Residency Program, established in 1973, is a five-year training program accredited by the ACGME since 2019. It aims to produce highly qualified general surgeons equipped for independent practice or further fellowship training. The program offers extensive surgical experience across community-based hospitals and tertiary care centers within the UPMC system, with residents primarily based at UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley.
