Global TESOL/TEFL, M.A.

Xavier University offers a 100% online Master of Arts in Global Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Global TESOL/TEFL). This program is designed to equip you with the linguistic expertise, cultural competence, and pedagogical tools to teach English effectively in diverse global settings, including K-12 schools, higher education, and international corporate environments. Rooted in Jesuit values, the curriculum emphasizes creating inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments. The degree requires 36 graduate credit hours and 50 documented field hours. Please note, this program does not provide state licensure.

Curriculum

The Master of Arts in Global TESOL program is a 36 graduate credit hour program. Transcript reviews are completed for each student to determine course requirements. In addition to coursework, 50 hours of documented field hours are required.
