The Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice is designed to equip graduates with the essential training, experience, and education required for professional registration as a pharmacist in Australia. This program is unique in New South Wales as the only university-level qualification of its kind. It incorporates an Intern Training Program (ITP) that helps pharmacy graduates meet the legal requirements for pharmacist registration. Registered pharmacists who do not need the ITP component can complete the certificate by undertaking four other units of study.
Curriculum
The Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice requires the completion of 24 credit points. This typically involves two years of part-time study. Students will undertake core units of study. For those completing the Intern Training Program (ITP), this includes two units (Pharmacy Intern Training A and Pharmacy Intern Training B). Registered pharmacists can complete the award by taking four other units of study.

Entry requirements
Pharmacy DegreeA bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Faculty.
Registration StatusEither provisional (intern) pharmacist registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia prior to commencing the ITP component, OR general (non-intern) pharmacist registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (for those excluding the ITP component).
