Entry requirements
Registered Nurse status with AHPRAMust hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Bachelor degree or equivalentSuccessful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent). Holders of nursing degrees from hospital education pathways may have this requirement waived.
Post-registration experienceAt least one year of post-registration acute medical/surgical nursing experience is required. Exceptions may be considered based on individual circumstances and in consultation with the placement provider, particularly for those who completed their nursing degree via an Enrolled Nurse pathway with 12 months of acute setting experience.
Clinical PlaceA place in this program is dependent upon securing a clinical placement at an approved midwifery agency in metropolitan or regional areas.
Entry is competitive. All applicants must submit a resume and a personal statement. Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place.
