History and Philosophy MA (Hons)

This program allows you to study both social, cultural, and political history, alongside philosophical thinking, to explore fundamental questions about human existence. You will delve into history from the early modern period to the contemporary era, with a focus on regions like the British Isles, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and India. The curriculum emphasizes the use of primary sources, including written and oral materials, maps, visual art, and music, to understand how historical evidence and media shape our understanding of the past. Philosophy modules will introduce you to critical thinking and argument, exploring core concepts in metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics. Curriculum
