
This Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design program offers a hands-on learning experience in one of Canada's leading Ceramics studios. You will explore a wide range of processes and techniques, guided by dedicated faculty, with a focus on contemporary ideas and community engagement. The curriculum covers innovative approaches to clay, including wheel throwing, hand building, mold making, slip casting, and various firing techniques. Beyond the studio, you'll gain real-world experience through professional events, workshops, competitions, and exhibitions, building leadership skills and engaging with the local and international art community. The program also emphasizes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, allowing you to broaden your skills across other Craft and Design studios while developing expertise in your chosen specialization. The curriculum is structured over eight semesters, including a dedicated work term for internship experience. Students will engage in studio electives, degree breadth electives, and core ceramic courses. The program also allows for specialization and the completion of Board Undergraduate Certificates alongside the degree.
