Design, plan, and shape sustainable living spaces. If this aligns with your future aspirations, Landscape Architecture is the right program for you. This course integrates science, technology, economics, and art, with a particular focus on ecological and social aspects. Practical experience is a key component, with the nearby Botanical Garden available for application, including your mandatory practical semester. Please note that classes are currently held in Höxter, with a planned mid-term relocation to Detmold. Specific information about this transition will be announced several months in advance of the semester start.
The program is structured over 8 semesters and offers various specializations. A practical semester is integrated into the curriculum.
As a landscape architect, you will primarily work in landscape or open space planning. You will assess the spatial and design requirements of landscapes and open spaces. You will create concepts for the conservation or development of natural areas, village and city renewal, or settlement development. You will prepare construction measures, create designs, and oversee professional tendering and construction execution. Further opportunities include working as an expert, taking on management tasks, or pursuing a career in science and research after completing a Master's program.
A German language proficiency level of C1 is required for admission.
There is a semester contribution fee, the amount of which can be found on the university's website.
