Legal Practice Course (LPC) - Postgraduate Diploma

This Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC) is designed to partially fulfil the vocational stage of training to become a solicitor in England and Wales. It prepares you to proceed to the next stage, typically a training contract. The course is delivered entirely through distance learning, featuring live, online interactive workshops accessible globally. While completing this course offers master's-level credit, you can further enhance your qualification by undertaking a dissertation to earn a full Master of Laws (LLM). Please note that September 2026 is the final intake year for the LPC at Leeds Law School. The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has introduced the Solicitors Qualifying Information (SQE) as the new route to qualification, with a transitional period during which the LPC route remains available. Applicants are responsible for confirming their eligibility to qualify via the LPC route with the SRA.
