Applicants must be experienced, practicing domestic electricians with a minimum of three years of industry experience. You need to hold a relevant Level 2 qualification, and either possess or complete Level 3 Awards in BS 7671 and Initial Verification/Testing.
The Standard Qualification Fee for this program is £128.15. This fee excludes VAT where applicable.
You should contact an LCL Awards Approved Centre (AC) for an initial 'Skills Scan' to assess your suitability. If suitable, you will be enrolled after meeting prerequisites, including at least three years of industry experience and a relevant Level 2 qualification.
This qualification formally recognizes your expertise as a competent Domestic Electrician, allowing you to join a Competent Person Scheme (CPS). It also provides a route to achieving Gold Card status via the Experienced Worker route (ECS).
The qualification has 79 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 104 hours. You must complete an e-portfolio, an online exam, and a professional discussion.
