The LindenTeach program is a component of the College of Education and Human Services at Lindenwood University, designed to provide teacher candidates with practical, supervised field experiences and to foster reflective teaching practices. This program aims to develop the professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for aspiring educators. It involves observation, individual conferences, and supervised teaching in various school settings, alongside a dedicated LindenTeach seminar course.
The LindenTeach program is structured into two main semesters, with an option to extend the first semester.
The program includes a 16-week paid internship in Semester 1 and an unpaid 16-week internship in Semester 2. Semester 1 requires 200 contact hours with students, while Semester 2 requires 500 contact hours.
