The LLB Law and Business & Management is a joint honours degree at Aberystwyth University, combining two dynamic and complementary fields of study. You will delve into legal theory and practice with the oldest Law department in Wales, taught by experienced staff, many of whom are practicing solicitors. Simultaneously, you will gain comprehensive business insights from active academics in the Aberystwyth Business School, covering areas like marketing, operations, finance, and human resources. This program is designed for students aspiring to careers in law or global business management, offering practical skills and a solid understanding of both disciplines. This degree emphasises practical application, meeting employer demands through teaching from professionals involved with organisations such as GRETA and the United Nations. Students benefit from opportunities like visits to Law Fairs and the Inns of Court in London, and can join the national and international competing Mooting Society to develop advocacy skills. The Business & Management modules provide an understanding of the business environment, management practices, trade, and the complex challenges leaders face, integrating economic, financial, human, and legal perspectives.
The modules listed below are those currently intended for delivery during the next academic year and may be subject to change. They are included here to give an indication of how the course is structured.
