The LLM Master of Laws (General) programme can be completed in 12 months full-time or 24 months part-time. An induction covering the Key Principles of the English Legal System is provided, which is compulsory for non-law graduates and beneficial for law graduates returning to study. For full-time students, the course is divided into three semesters. Semesters 1 and 2 involve studying four 30-credit elective modules, chosen from a comprehensive guide. Semester 3 is dedicated to completing a 15,000-word dissertation in your chosen specialist area, supported by research methods training. Part-time students undertake the course over six semesters. Semesters 1-4 involve studying four 30-credit elective modules, and Semesters 5 and 6 are dedicated to the dissertation.
