The Master of Science in Physician Assistant program at Sullivan University is designed to prepare you for a rewarding career in healthcare. This program emphasizes ethical, high-quality, and compassionate patient care within an inter-professional team setting. It combines a strong academic foundation with extensive hands-on clinical training, ensuring you develop the necessary skills to succeed in various healthcare environments and prepare effectively for the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE).
Curriculum
The program consists of a rigorous didactic year followed by a clinical year. The didactic phase builds a strong foundation in biomedical, clinical, and behavioral sciences, with a focus on physical diagnosis and critical thinking. This progresses from basic sciences and anatomy to case-based learning and OSCEs. After successfully completing written and practical exams, students enter the clinical phase, undertaking seven required rotations and one elective. The program concludes with a Summative OSCE and End of Curriculum Exam to ensure readiness for the PANCE. Due to the intensive nature of the program, outside employment is strongly discouraged. Sullivan University's Physician Assistant program does not offer advanced placement or credit for prior experience, international medical experience, or credits from other PA or medical programs.
