The MA in Early Childhood Education program is designed for professionals working in or aspiring to leadership roles within early childhood settings. It offers a comprehensive study of child development, pedagogical approaches, and educational policy relevant to young learners. The program aims to enhance participants' understanding and skills in creating optimal learning environments for children from birth to age eight.
Graduates are prepared for a variety of roles in early childhood education.
Applicants may be required to pass an entrance examination or interview. Preference is given to those with relevant professional experience such as pre-school principals, supervisors, teachers, school development consultants, or government officials.
A caution fee of HK$450 must be paid upon enrolment, which is refundable upon withdrawal or used as a graduation fee.
The tuition fee for international students is HK$214,000 for the 2026-2027 academic year. Annual fee adjustments for the 2026 cohort are capped at 3%.
The programme is designed to be completed in 1 year of full-time study.
Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS (Academic) or 79 on the TOEFL iBT. Other TOEFL scores accepted are 213 for CBT and 550 for PBT.
The application period opens on 1 September 2025 and the deadline for applications is 28 February 2026.
Required documents include a photocopy of your passport, CV, graduation certificate, official transcripts, proof of English proficiency, and two confidential recommendation reports.
