The Master Legal Tech (MLT) program focuses on the use of technological solutions to improve, automate, and make legal processes and services more efficient. This includes decision-support systems, chatbots for basic legal queries, and eDiscovery software. Legal tech is recognized globally as a key driver of transformation in the legal sector, with generative AI offering significant new possibilities. However, the field also faces legal, technological, and organizational challenges in adopting and implementing these innovations. This master's program aims to equip you with the knowledge and practical approach needed to develop and implement legal tech meaningfully and responsibly, bridging the worlds of law and technology. You will be trained as a master professional specializing in this intersection.
The two-year program (120 ECTS) is structured into four semesters, each divided into two blocks. Semesters 1-3 focus on a core Legal Tech theme, with the fourth semester dedicated to graduation. The program integrates legal frameworks, technology, and management, research, design, and communication (MODC). Professional Development (PO) is a continuous thread throughout the program, fostering personal growth and leadership. Each semester includes practical assignments (Beroepsopdracht) for legal organizations.
