This Master of Arts program focuses on deepening your understanding of Chinese Language and Literature. It is designed for students who hold a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature or a related field, or an equivalent qualification. The program aims to provide advanced knowledge and research skills in the field. Admission requires a recognized university degree and all academic transcripts, including English proficiency test results. Selected candidates may be invited for an online interview.
For qualifications from institutions outside Hong Kong where the medium of instruction is not English, applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency. Preference may be given to candidates with two or more years of relevant work experience. Applicants may be interviewed via video conference.
Application fee is HKD 300 (non-refundable). Caution money is HKD 350.
You need a recognized bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature or a related field. English proficiency can be demonstrated with an IELTS minimum overall band of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 80 or above, or specific grades in GCE, IGCSE, or Cambridge English tests.
The tuition fee for international students is HKD 144,000 per year for full-time study. There is also a non-refundable application fee of HKD 300 and a caution money deposit of HKD 350.
Applications are submitted online through the HKU Taught Postgraduate system. You will need to register an account, complete the application form, pay the application fee, and upload supporting documents like transcripts and English test results.
You must submit academic transcripts, diplomas, certificates, and English language test results. Documents not in English require a certified English translation.
