Entry requirements
Undergraduate DegreeMinimum overall GPA of 3.0.
English MajorAn academic major in English is required. Those without an English major should pursue a 'second bachelor's' degree in English.
English Studies GPAA minimum GPA of 3.0 in English studies.
Foreign Language StudyOne year of college-level study of a foreign language with a grade of 'C' or better (includes American Sign Language).
A grade of B or better in all pedagogy and foundation courses and an overall GPA of 3.0 or better in all graduate coursework attempted are required for degree completion. Students must also complete certification workshops and pass the Educating All Students Test and the revised Content Specialty Test (CST) in English.
