The Master's program in Biophysics aims to train specialists for research, development, education, business, and public sectors. Graduates will gain a deep understanding of the principles of life systems, pathology, and the capabilities of modern biophysical research methods. The program emphasizes practical skills, including data analysis, scientific investigation design, and the use of advanced experimental equipment. Entry requirements
Bachelor's degreeIn Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, or Psychology. Applicants with a non-EU/EFTA background must have completed their Bachelor's within the last five years. A scientific research bachelor’s thesis or at least 20 ECTS of practical laboratory work is required. An overall grade average of at least 70% is needed.

The entry qualification documents are accepted in English or Lithuanian. Official translations are required for documents not in these languages, bound with verified true copies and confirmed by the translator. Documents in English or Lithuanian require verified true copies. Applicants from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan must submit an OMPT-D certificate with a minimum passing grade of 55%. A motivation letter is also required. Applicants with a first language of English or a university degree conducted in English may be exempt from language tests.

How to apply
1. Find Your ProgrammeEnsure the Biophysics program aligns with your interests and career goals. You can apply to up to three programs, but admission is granted to only one.
2. Check Application DatesFor international applicants: May 1st for non-EU/EFTA countries, and July 1st for EU/EFTA citizens. The academic year starts on September 1st.
3. Prepare Documents and Check EligibilityMeet the general, program-specific, and language proficiency requirements. For non-EU/EFTA applicants, your most recent qualification must be within the last 5 years. Required documents include undergraduate diploma, transcripts, recommendation letter, and proof of English proficiency. A motivation letter is also needed.
4. Submit Application and Pay FeeSubmit your application online via apply.vu.lt. The application fee is 100 EUR, payable via Flywire. All documents must be submitted by the deadline. The fee is non-refundable.
5. Attend Motivational InterviewEligible applicants will be invited for a remote motivational interview, scheduled individually.
6. Confirm Acceptance and Pay Tuition FeeUpon assessment (within 30 days), you'll receive an acceptance or rejection notification. Accept the offer within 7 working days. Non-EU/EFTA students must pay the annual tuition fee within 15 calendar days of the offer.
7. Arrange ArrivalAfter paying tuition, receive your final acceptance letter. For non-EU citizens, Vilnius University will send a mediation letter to assist with visa/residence permit applications. You can also apply for dormitory accommodation via the application platform after tuition payment. Consider visa requirements and accommodation arrangements.
