Postgraduate DiplomaIn a clinical nursing specialty relevant to your advanced practice experience.
Current AHPRA RegistrationAs a registered nurse with no conditions or undertakings.
Nursing ExperienceAt least five years full-time equivalent (FTE) registered nursing experience in a specific clinical field, with at least two years FTE (approx. 3600 hours) of advanced nursing practice in that field within the last 6 years.
EmploymentCurrent and enduring employment in a specialty nursing practice area (minimum 0.5 FTE) while studying.
Clinical Placement SupportConfirmation of Australian work-based clinical placement support to undertake 300 hours of supervised Integrated Professional Practice (IPP) in the second year.
Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place, as entry is competitive and subject to availability. Selection may also consider demonstrated competence across Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) practice domains and evidence of appropriate clinical supervision.

Fees are indicative and based on 2026 figures; 2027 fees will be available after 1 August 2026. Fees depend on the type of place offered and financial support. Standard full-fee places are not subsidised by the Australian Government. Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) have a portion of fees paid by the Australian Government. Students may be eligible for FEE-HELP for full-fee places.
