The Master of Research (MRes) program is designed to launch your research career by immersing you in advanced research training and coursework. This program requires completion of 96 credit points, with the first year dedicated to research training and coursework, and the second year focused on a substantial thesis (48 credit points). All applicants must submit a research proposal (3-4 pages) summarising their intended project. Discussing your proposal with a potential supervisor before submission is strongly recommended. The proposal should include an introduction, literature review, research design/methodology, expected outcomes, and references. Plagiarism checks will be conducted. The Head of Postgraduate Studies for the relevant unit will approve entry based on academic results and relevant experience.
