The Master of Research (MRes) at Victoria University is an 18-month program designed for graduates with a related bachelor's degree or an honours degree in a different discipline. This program focuses on developing crucial research skills, including research ethics and project design. Depending on your background, you will undertake coursework in research methods or a disciplinary component relevant to your intended research. Upon achieving a 70% average in your coursework, you will begin your independent research project under expert guidance. This research can span a wide range of contemporary issues within diverse fields such as arts, business, computer science, education, engineering, economics, science, law, and sociology. The program is supported by leading researchers within Victoria University's 'Sustainable industries and liveable cities' research group, as well as opportunities within the Moondani Balluk research unit for Indigenous history and society.
