The Master of Science in Biotechnologies, with a specialization in Synthetic Biotechnology (BS), is offered by the École Supérieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg (ESBS) in partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Strasbourg. Curriculum
The Master's program in Biotechnologies offers four specialized tracks, including Synthetic Biotechnology (BS). Entry requirements
Bachelor's DegreeFor M1 entry: Bachelor's in Life Sciences, Technology, Engineering Sciences, Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry. For M2 entry: A completed first year of a Master's in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or Bioinformatics. Alternatively, an Engineering Diploma in Biotechnology (or completion of the 2nd year) is accepted for M2 entry.
ESBS Engineering DiplomaStudents who have completed the first year of the ESBS engineering program are eligible for M1 entry. Students who have completed the second year of the ESBS engineering program are eligible for M2 entry.
English ProficiencyB1 level
Admission to both M1 and M2 is based on a review of the application file, considering academic background, grades in relevant subjects, motivation letter, and professional project. This is followed by a mandatory oral interview. Prior laboratory internship experience is an advantage.
