Entry requirements
Bachelor degree in a related field (other than social work)Must include at least one year of full-time studies in social sciences (e.g., community and human services, sociology, behavioural sciences, counselling and psychological sciences) or equivalent. Alternatively, a Bachelor degree in any field plus one year of additional social science studies in a Postgraduate Qualifying Program or AQF postgraduate course.
Cognate Bachelor degree or equivalent prior learningIncludes at least five years of relevant professional experience.
IELTS AcademicOverall minimum 7.0, with no individual band score less than 7.0. This can be achieved in one sitting, or across a maximum of two sittings within six months (with no component below 6.5), or with one IELTS Academic One Skill Retake (with the retaken component achieving at least 7.0 and original score not below 6.5).
English test results must be obtained within 2 years of the proposed course commencement date. Other English language pathways may be accepted if they meet ECU's minimum English standards, such as a Bachelor degree from an approved country or successful completion of postgraduate study at an Australian institution.
