The Master of Teaching (Secondary) program is designed for graduates who hold a bachelor's degree in a field other than education and wish to qualify as secondary school teachers (Years 7-12). Your undergraduate degree must align with the subject areas currently taught in Queensland secondary schools to be eligible. This program will build upon your existing subject knowledge with discipline-specific teaching courses, equip you with the skills to assess student learning, design effective lesson plans, and manage diverse classroom environments. You will undertake supervised professional experience across three blocks, totaling 60 days of practical teaching, with opportunities to gain experience in rural and remote settings. The program also includes ongoing professional development seminars and employment forums.
