The Master's Programme in Physics at Umeå University offers advanced study in physics, allowing students to deepen their knowledge and skills in various subfields. You can tailor your studies by choosing courses that align with your interests, or opt for one of three specialized profiles: Computational Physics, Advanced Materials, or Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics. The program is taught in English within an international atmosphere, and there's an opportunity to spend a semester studying abroad. You need a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits, including 75 ECTS in physics with at least 6 ECTS in Quantum Mechanics. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English 6/level 2 is also required.
Non-EU/EEA citizens are required to pay tuition fees of SEK 76,150 per year. The total tuition fee for the two-year program is SEK 304,600.
