International students require IELTS 7.0 (minimum 6.5 in each component) or an equivalent English language qualification at the point of application.
The University may administer a small inflationary rise in tuition fees in subsequent academic years. EU/EEA and Swiss students with settled or pre-settled status, and Irish nationals, may be eligible for the UK tuition fee rate.
Applicants typically need a UK first-class or 2:1 honours degree, or an equivalent qualification. There are no specific subject requirements for the honours degree.
International applicants must demonstrate an IELTS score of 7.0 overall, with no less than 6.5 in each individual component, or an equivalent English language qualification.
The MRes program can be completed in 1 year if studied full-time, or 18 months if studied part-time.
The tuition fee for international students for the entire MRes course is £18,000.
The international application deadline for October 2026 entry was July 30, 2026. For February 2027 entry, the deadline is October 20, 2026. Please note, October 2026 entry is closed for international applications.
Applicants need to submit a research proposal (max 1,000 words), an academic CV, a passport scan, a budget sheet, and scans of degree certificates/transcripts.
