Our MBChB Medicine degree is a five-year program designed to equip you with the essential skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours required to become an excellent doctor. The course is structured into four phases, with clinical placements taking place in hospitals and General Practices across Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. You will gain practical experience from year one, starting in GP surgeries and progressing to hospital wards and specialist clinics. The curriculum is informed by the latest research and you will have access to state-of-the-art training facilities, including a Clinical Skills Centre with simulated environments. A key component includes social accountability placements focused on public health and health inequalities. The program is continuously evolving to enhance student experience and ensure graduates are well-prepared for the changing healthcare landscape, with plans for greater choice, balanced academic terms, strengthened surgical experience, and improved integration of primary and secondary care.
