How to apply
1. Complete the Online ApplicationSubmit your application online. There is no application fee.
2. Submit Official College/University TranscriptsArrange for ALL official transcripts from previously attended colleges/universities to be sent directly to Baldwin Wallace. Electronic transcripts should be sent to admit@bw.edu, or paper copies mailed to the Admission Office, Baldwin Wallace University, 275 Eastland Road, Berea, OH 44017. BW transcripts for current or former students will be obtained automatically.
3. Foreign Credential Evaluation (for international degrees)If your degree was earned outside the United States, you must obtain a course-by-course evaluation with degree verification from an approved service (Education Credential Evaluators, Educational Perspectives, SpanTran, or World Education Services - WES). This evaluation must be sent directly to BW from the service.
4. Provide Two Professional RecommendationsUtilize the recommendation form within the online applicant portal. Recommendations should come from individuals qualified to assess your background and potential for success, such as employment managers, supervisors, college professors, or academic advisors. Family members or close friends are not accepted as recommenders.
5. Verification of Teaching Certificate or LicenseThe admission committee will verify your certificate or licensure history with the Ohio Department of Education after your application is submitted.
6. Criminal Record DisclosureDisclose any unexpunged or unsealed misdemeanor or felony convictions. A criminal record may affect eligibility for admission to teacher licensure programs and for an Ohio teaching license.
