
This Master of Science (MSc) in Cyber Security is a postgraduate degree designed to provide you with in-depth knowledge of modern enterprise cyber security, digital forensics, and incident response. The course merges academic principles with practical industrial applications, drawing on current research and industry partnerships with law enforcement and cyber security firms. You will explore specialisms such as network security, penetration testing, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, audit and compliance, and host and mobile digital forensics. The program culminates in a substantial research-based dissertation project, allowing you to deepen your expertise in a chosen area.
The full-time MSc Cyber Security is delivered over three trimesters, with a duration of 12 months for September starters and 18 months for January starters (including a summer break). The curriculum combines academic theory with extensive practical activities, utilising specialist labs and virtualised environments.
