Baldwin Wallace University's Online Instructor and Blended Learning Certificate is a fully online program designed for educators and professionals who want to develop or enhance their skills in delivering online courses and blended learning modules. This program emphasizes applied learning, allowing you to immediately use your new knowledge. It is ideal for K-12 and higher education faculty, as well as non-educators involved in online training. Comprising three courses (9 credit hours), the certificate offers flexibility for working professionals. While it does not confer state licensure in Ohio, it provides valuable credentials for teaching online, maximizing web-based content, and training within online platforms. This certificate can also be a stepping stone towards a K-12 Computer/Technology Endorsement or a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) in Leadership in Technology.
The graduate certificate consists of three graduate education courses. These courses can also be applied towards the Computer/Technology Teaching Endorsement and the MAEd degree in Leadership in Technology.
This certificate is beneficial for professionals seeking to teach online, maximize web-based content for instruction, or instruct/train within an online platform.
Candidates with degrees from foreign institutions must have a course-by-course evaluation with degree verification from an approved credential evaluation service (ECE, Educational Perspectives, SpanTran, WES). This evaluation must be sent directly to BW by the service.
Tuition listed is for the 2026-27 academic year. Baldwin Wallace does not charge additional per-credit-hour fees for graduate education programs.
You will need an undergraduate degree with a recommended GPA of 3.0 or above. If your degree was earned outside the United States, a course-by-course evaluation with degree verification from an approved service is required.
Graduate courses are $621 per credit hour. Educators in premier partner school districts receive a discounted rate of $563 per credit hour. There are no additional per-credit-hour fees.
The certificate comprises three courses, totaling 9 credit hours, and is delivered fully online.
Submit an online application, official transcripts, two professional recommendations, and a foreign credential evaluation if applicable. Applications should be submitted at least four weeks before your desired enrollment term (Fall, Spring, or Summer).
This certificate is beneficial for roles such as an Online Instructor (K-12, Higher Education), Blended Learning Specialist, Corporate Trainer (Online Platforms), or Instructional Designer with a focus on online delivery.
