The University of Hertfordshire welcomes applications for PhD research in Film. This program offers the opportunity to conduct innovative research into Film and Television from various perspectives. You will be supervised by active researchers with expertise in areas such as film and television through religious and philosophical lenses, Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, and Psychoanalysis. The PhD is a research-based degree culminating in a thesis of approximately 80,000 words, defended in an oral examination (viva voce). The program can be undertaken full-time over up to 4 years or part-time over up to 7 years.
