This course provides an introduction to the core physiological concepts essential for nursing practice across all stages of life. It explores fundamental aspects such as oxygenation, perfusion, acid-base balance, fluid and electrolytes, infection, immunity, inflammation, digestion, and metabolism. By integrating these nursing concepts with Tanner's clinical judgment model, students will develop the skills to identify and respond to patient problems in clinical settings. Practical experience will be gained through clinical rotations in acute medical-surgical units.
