This postgraduate conversion course is designed for non-law graduates who wish to pursue a career in law. It provides rigorous legal training and practical experience, preparing you for professional pathways such as the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) or the Bar Training Course (BTC). The program emphasizes critical thinking, legal analysis, and effective communication, equipping you with the foundational knowledge and skills required for legal practice. The LLM option includes advanced research training and a dissertation, allowing for specialization in a chosen area of law.
Curriculum
The PGDL is studied over one year full-time or two years part-time, divided into two teaching semesters. It covers the core areas of English law and the Foundations of Legal Knowledge. The LLM Law (Conversion) includes an additional semester for research and a dissertation.
