The Yale Postgraduate Seminar is a specialized program designed for international students who are either preparing for or currently enrolled in U.S. graduate programs. It is also suitable for current graduate students exploring postdoctoral or career pathways in the United States, as well as professionals aiming to enhance their academic English and critical thinking abilities. This seminar aims to equip participants with the essential communication and analytical skills needed to succeed in advanced U.S. academic environments. Over five weeks, the program focuses on strengthening advanced academic writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills, alongside cultural fluency relevant to U.S. graduate studies. Participants will gain confidence and practical abilities to navigate the demands of advanced coursework and professional academic communication across various disciplines. Living on campus is an option, providing a full immersion experience into Yale University life.

The total estimated budget for the program, including tuition, application fee, visa processing fee, medical insurance, and optional housing and meals, is $10,435. All visiting students issued an I-20 from Yale will be enrolled in and billed for U.S. health insurance. On-campus housing is optional.
