The Practical Nursing Program at Coastal Alabama Community College prepares individuals to provide general nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or dentist. You will learn essential skills such as taking vital signs, applying sterile dressings, educating patients on health, and assisting with examinations and treatments. This program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to become a competent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) upon successfully passing the licensure exam.
Curriculum
The curriculum is structured over three semesters. Some general education courses are recommended to be completed prior to program admission. All nursing courses require a minimum grade of C (75) to progress.
