The Practical Nursing - Flexible program at Centennial College equips you with the in-depth knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary for today's complex healthcare environment. The curriculum is aligned with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Practice Standards and Guidelines, National Entry to Practice Competencies for Registered Practical Nurses, and the Ontario Practical Nursing Program Standard. This program prepares you to provide safe, competent, and ethical care to a diverse patient population, utilizing resources and technology effectively. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to apply for registration as Registered Practical Nurses in Ontario.
The program is structured over 6 semesters (2 years) and includes a variety of courses covering anatomy, physiology, communications, nursing theory, clinical applications, and professional growth. Some courses are delivered in a blended format.
Graduates of the Practical Nursing program are prepared for registration as Registered Practical Nurses in Ontario. The program aims to develop competencies for autonomous practice in various healthcare settings.
