The Psychology (Conversion) MSc is designed for graduates who have not previously studied psychology or hold a psychology degree that is not accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). This course provides a comprehensive grounding in psychological theory and research methods, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary for further postgraduate study or careers requiring psychological understanding. You will explore core areas of psychology, including cognitive processes, social behaviour, development, and individual differences, alongside essential research methodologies.
Curriculum
The curriculum covers the breadth of psychology through core modules in the first two semesters, followed by an independent research project for your dissertation. The course also includes a module on 'Communicating for Psychology' to enhance scientific writing and referencing skills. Bespoke tutorials and lectures are provided to support the transition to Master's level study.

Entry requirements
Undergraduate DegreeA good undergraduate degree (minimum 2.2 classification) in any subject, or an unaccredited psychology degree, is required for entry. Consideration will be given to applicants with equivalent professional qualifications and experience.
The course is designed for graduates who have not studied Psychology before or those with an unaccredited Psychology degree.
