The Registered Electrical Contractor (REC) course (TNREC) is designed for qualified electricians who want to gain the business knowledge and skills needed to obtain a REC Licence from Energy Safe Victoria (ESV). The program covers essential areas such as developing business plans, understanding current compliance policies, and fulfilling the regulatory obligations for electrical contracting businesses.

This course is designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply for a Registered Electrical Contractor (REC) Licence with Energy Safe Victoria (ESV), enabling you to operate your own electrical contracting business.
All applicants are required to complete a Pre-training Review (PTR) to assess suitability for admission. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee entry, as places may be limited. You may also be assessed on your education, work, and other relevant experience. Participants are expected to provide their own basic personal protective equipment (PPE).
The fee for this short course is AU$929.
This course provides units of competency recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Successful completion leads to a Statement of Attainment.
