This course teaches you how to safely disconnect and reconnect low-voltage fixed wired control devices. You will develop practical skills in isolating electrical supplies, performing disconnections and reconnections, and testing equipment according to Australian Standards. Upon completion, you will be able to work safely on control devices, identify supply arrangements, follow isolation procedures, use testing equipment, and correctly terminate and connect cables. Please note that this course specifically excludes work on switchboards, general electrical accessories (like switches and socket outlets), and any installation or alteration of fixed electrical wiring systems.
Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee entry. Applications are also assessed on education, work, and other relevant experience if the course is in high demand. Applicants must check eligibility with ESV EnergySafe Victoria for a REL License. Participants should inform training staff of any colour/vision impairments.
