How to apply

2. Complete Required CoursesEnroll in and successfully complete the three core Risk Management and Insurance courses: RMI 2110 (Personal Insurance), RMI 2662 (Introduction to Risk Management and Insurance), and RMI 2212 (Personal and Business Property Insurance). Note the semesters these are offered.
3. Obtain a 2-Year DegreeSuccessfully complete a minimum of a two-year degree program at SJR State, such as an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science.
4. Apply for Insurance LicensesOnce the certificate courses and the 2-year degree are completed, proceed to the Florida Department of Financial Services website ([MyProfile](https://dice.fldfs.com/public/pb_index.aspx)). Create an account, complete the online application, pay the required fee (you can apply for all three licenses and pay only once), and submit college transcripts. You will also need to get fingerprinted. Ensure you do not have any felonies on record.
5. Receive License CertificatesAfter your application is processed and approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services, you will receive your insurance license certificates electronically.
