The Scandinavian Studies (Swedish) program at Vilnius University offers an in-depth exploration of the languages, cultures, history, and societies of the Nordic region. Tuition fees for EU/EFTA citizens and non-EU/EFTA citizens admitted to non-state-funded places are to be paid within 15 calendar days of receiving the study offer. The application fee is 100 EUR.

2. Check Application DatesFor international applicants: May 1 for non-EU/EFTA countries, July 1 for EU/EFTA citizens and eligible non-EU/EFTA citizens. The academic year begins September 1.
3. Check Eligibility and Prepare DocumentsMeet general, program-specific, and language proficiency requirements. Ensure secondary education qualification gap does not exceed five years for non-EU/EFTA applicants. Documents must be in English or Lithuanian; translations may be required.
4. Pay Application Fee and SubmitSubmit your application online via apply.vu.lt. Pay a non-refundable 100 EUR application fee through Flywire. All documents must be submitted by the deadline.
5. Take the InterviewCandidates meeting the criteria will be invited for a motivational interview.
6. Confirm Acceptance and Pay Tuition FeeAccept the offer within 7 working days. Non-EU/EFTA students admitted to non-state-funded places must pay the annual tuition fee within 15 calendar days of the offer. A final acceptance letter is issued after payment.
7. Arrange ArrivalApply for a visa or residence permit. If accommodation is needed, apply via apply.vu.lt after receiving the final acceptance letter. Contact the International Relations Office for visa and permit information.
