The course covers a range of skills from basic seams and finishes to more specific applications like interfacing, buttonholes, and zips. Instruction is delivered by a team of experienced dressmakers with extensive backgrounds in the fashion industry, including daywear, bridal, and theatre costume design. The content is designed to be engaging and continuously updated, with opportunities to re-enrol for ongoing skill development.

Curriculum

Over 10 weeks, you will work on a personal project and develop skills in: choosing patterns, understanding fabric types, measuring and fitting, using sewing tools, creating various seams and finishes, pressing techniques, making buttonholes, hemming, and more.
