This postgraduate Social Work program, offered as either an MA or PGDip, is designed for individuals holding a degree who aspire to become registered Social Workers in England. The course is approved by Social Work England (SWE) and aligns with their Professional Standards and the British Association of Social Workers’ (BASW) Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF). Honours Degree or equivalentA 2:2 or above is required, or a professional qualification equivalent to an undergraduate degree, normally in a cognate area.
GCSEGCSE English or equivalent at least grade C or above. Level 2 Functional Skills are accepted.
IT SkillsBasic IT skills with reliable internet access (preferably broadband) are necessary.
Relevant ExperienceExperience (personal, voluntary, or paid) with individuals facing life challenges or needing support is essential. This typically includes experience in social care or health care in statutory or voluntary sectors. Personal caring experience may also be considered.
IELTSOverall score of 7.0 with 7.0 in Reading and Writing, and 6.5 in Listening and Speaking.
All applicants will undergo a fitness to practise screening and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. International applicants may need to apply early to allow for visa processing and may be asked to pay a deposit of £3,000 to secure their place.
