Sociology

Trinity Western University's Sociology program offers a path to understanding societal dynamics and fostering positive social change. You will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze people and contemporary culture, with faculty expertise in areas such as culture, race and ethnicity, social inequality, family, religion, and social change. The program encourages students to align their studies with their values to make a meaningful impact. Beyond the core sociology curriculum, students have opportunities to enhance their learning through additional programs. You can choose to complete the Human Services certificate for a more applied focus, including practical experience through practicums in various helping professions. Additionally, there's an option to spend a semester at the Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa, combining academic coursework with a valuable internship. A minor in Gender Studies is also available, allowing for a deeper exploration of gender's role and evolution in society.
