QUT offers international students the opportunity to enhance their bachelor's degree by studying a foreign language. This can be pursued as a minor (four units), a second major (six to eight units), or as elective units. The languages available are offered through the Brisbane Universities Language Alliance (BULA), a collaboration with Griffith University and the University of Queensland. Students will need to enrol in language units at the partner university as a cross-institutional student.
To study a language offered at UQ or Griffith, you must apply as a cross-institutional student through the Brisbane Universities Languages Alliance (BULA). This is done after being admitted to QUT, receiving faculty approval, and adding the language units to your QUT study plan.
