This course is designed for students nearing the end of their program to reflect on their professional skills and identity. You will examine how you have met the COMPASS competencies and the University of Adelaide Graduate Qualities. The course will delve into workplace strategies for mental health, including managing burnout, resolving conflicts, and handling difficult conversations with colleagues and clients. You will also explore how to navigate ethical dilemmas and learn about support services available to practicing clinicians outside of university. Furthermore, this course includes essential training in cultural responsiveness, focusing on safe practices when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The learning outcomes emphasize critical appraisal of workplace governance, adapting skills to diverse environments, and reflecting on professional growth to prepare for entry into the workforce.
