How to apply
1. Submit Online ApplicationComplete the online application form. An application fee of $70 USD is required.
2. Upload TranscriptsScan and upload transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended (associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels). Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for review and can be sent to admissions@warner.rochester.edu. Transcripts directly issued to or unsealed by a student are considered unofficial.
3. Submit Letters of RecommendationTwo letters are required for master's and certificate applicants, and three for doctoral applicants. These are managed through the online application. Letters should be from academic or workplace professionals who know your qualifications. At least one should be from a former professor. Your recommenders will receive an email with instructions to submit their letters.
4. Write Statement of PurposePrepare a double-spaced statement of purpose, between two and four pages, that discusses your past, present, and future aspirations, and how a degree from the Warner School will help you achieve them. Specify your interest in the Warner School of Education and Human Development.
5. Upload Resume/CVProvide a legible, recent, and accurate resume or curriculum vitae.
6. Submit Writing SampleSubmit a writing sample of at least five pages, written in English, that is academic in nature (e.g., a term paper). It must include in-text citations and a reference page. If you do not have a suitable academic paper, you may write a new one.
7. Submit Test Scores (if applicable)TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for international applicants with undergraduate degrees from outside the U.S. The Warner School's TOEFL code is 7614. GRE scores are optional but may be considered for some University-wide scholarships.
